Sanna arrives on stage with a big suitcase, thinking she has arrived
in Lapland, ready to meet Santa Clause. She wants to make sure he gives
her all the things she needs. As the suitcase opens and the magical
story unfolds, the children participate actively in the imagined visits
to different countries with their own voices and bodies, getting a tangible taste of each culture. Sanna playfully
loosens and warms up the everyone in the audience with her fun and holistic exercises,
making it easy and natural to sing and move along in
different languages and styles.
Together with Sanna the children also learn, how good it feels to become
still and listen to nature, and how anything is possible when we relax,
focus, become centered and believe in ourselves. At the end of the
journey, Sanna's character realizes that she doesn’t need any of the things she first
thought. Sharing all of what they have been doing during the show together, is what she loves, what
makes her happy, and what really matters.
It's natural for children to want to join in performances. Sing and
Shine offers a delightful opportunity for this. The children not only
learn about different cultures and important things life, but also get
to express themselves. The children feel part of the performance and
shine with Sanna!

and host with just one performer, and all props, costumes and equipment
contained in a suitcase and because it is flexible to suit different events, venues and audience sizes.
♥ Can be done with or without theater lighting, microphones and piano.
♥ Can be adjusted to suit both small and large venues, from simple classrooms to
big theaters and stages.
♥ Works well with any audience size: minimum 20, no maximum.
♥ Length: 45-60 minutes.

Sanna Valvanne is an innovative
conductor, versatile performer and singer&songwriter, from Finland.
She is recognized worldwide for her creative and holistic choral method:
“Sing and Shine with Body and Soul”, which combines vocal expression with
movement and drama. Sanna is a popular clinician, guest conductor and
performer with choirs around the world.
Sanna
is also a talented actor, performer, and singer&songwriter. In
Finland, children first knew her, from the leading female part in a
weekly children's TV-show, Kimsu ja Kampsu, at YLE, the National Finnish
Broadcasting Company. With her children's choirs, she later created a
popular TV-program for YLE, Musiikkimatka, Musical Journey, which
taught children every Saturday morning about different cultures and
motivated them to start singing and dancing. Sanna has performed her own
songs in live concerts, her one-woman theater shows, and on TV. |
